The CHANEL 2.55 was introduced in February 1955. (the bag was named after the date it was released). It was designed by Coco Chanel to accommodate her personal champagne sipping needs. The double chain shoulder strap was invented by Coco Chanel to free up use of women’s hands. Over the years, this bag has been redone so many times that it comes in all kinds of materials, colors, designs and various sizes these days.
There are two bags under my "wanted" list. :) and the Chanel 2.55 bag is one of them. It seems like it's a one of "must-item" these days even though it's like more than my monthly pay check. T_T But the bag is simply timeless and classic, and also fits all occasions. Hopefully I can get the bag in my hand really really soon. :)
